Africar Spares Warehouse ("Africar Spares Warehouse", "we", "us", "our") operates this website (www.africaspares.co.za) as a trade/business-to-business catalogue and enquiry service. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

• Contact and enquiry details you give us directly: name, email address, phone number, business/trading name, and the content of any quote request, trade account application, or contact-form message you submit.
• Technical/session information: your browser stores one session cookie so your quote, saved lists, recently viewed parts and (where offered) trade-pricing sign-in keep working between visits. It also keeps the contact details you last gave us, with a quote request or to see trade prices, so your next request starts filled in. We do not use this to build an advertising profile of you.
• We do not currently process online payments or store payment card details on this site.

We use the information you give us to: respond to enquiries and quote requests; process trade account applications; and keep your quote and saved lists working between visits. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties.

Enquiry, quote and application details are sent by email to our own sales team and are not shared outside Africar Spares Warehouse except where required by law. If a request is intended for a group company (for example, forwarding you to the right branch or sister brand), we'll only do that with your consent.

This site uses two essential cookies kept in your browser. The session cookie holds your quote, saved lists and recently viewed parts, and the contact details you last gave us with a quote request or to see trade prices (name, company, email, phone, account number, collect or deliver, and delivery town), so your next request starts filled in. It is signed, so it can't be altered, but it is not encrypted, so anyone using the same browser can see it. A security cookie protects the site's forms against forged requests; it holds no personal information. The site does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Where a page embeds a Google Map, Google may set its own cookies when the map loads — see Google's own privacy policy for details.

We keep enquiry and application correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to handle your request and for our own record-keeping obligations, then delete or anonymise it. The session cookie lasts up to 12 months after your last visit, then your browser deletes it. To remove your contact details sooner, choose "Not you? Clear these details" on the quote page; clearing this site's cookies in your browser removes everything.

You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it's wrong, to ask us to delete it, and to object to how we use it, subject to any legal or contractual reasons we may need to keep it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information you share with us. No system is completely secure, and you share information with us at your own risk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
